Make Life Easier with Faultless Premium Ironing Spray

This post has been sponsored by Faultless Brands.  All thoughts and opinions, are 100% my own.

If you had to use a word to describe me, one word that probably wouldn’t be on the list is: domestic. When it comes to house hold chores, I begrudgingly do them. When it comes to some chores, for instance, say ironing, I let the stack of clothes pile up until I have no choice, but to tackle the pile.

What is it about ironing I don’t like? It’s the constant feeling that this chore is never ending! You have to refill the iron with water a bunch of times during the ironing process, and half the time, no matter how many times I run the iron over the item, the wrinkles don’t come out of the clothing.

Enter Faultless® Premium Ironing Spray! This spray has been a game changer! No need to fill the iron up with water, no need to iron over the same spot again and again, just give that shirt or pair of slacks a couple sprays, and one quick run over and the wrinkles are gone! Not to mention, the ironing spray keeps wrinkles out longer, giving you that freshly ironed look all day. You can learn more about the ironing spray on the Faultless® Premium Ironing Spray Product Page.

Truth be told, I don’t use the ironing spray (or even iron) on all the clothing that we have. I do, however, use the ironing spray on all my husband’s work clothes and on all the clothing I wear to my photo shoots. Because my husband has a dress code of “business attire,” he wears slacks and button-down shirts to work each and every day. These are also the two items, in my opinion, that seem to wrinkle the easiest. I’ve noticed a big difference, not only in the amount of time it takes me to iron his work clothes but also how much nicer his clothing looks since using Faultless Premium Ironing Spray. It gives his clothing the look of having his laundry professionally done without paying the professional dry cleaner price. You can’t beat that!

I also use the ironing spray on the outfits I take to shoot for my blog photos. I want to be sure the clothing I’m featuring in my pictures looks clean, non-wrinkled, and well maintained. It’s easy for the clothing to get wrinkled since I shoot multiple looks in one day and often take all my looks in a laundry basket to the shoot. The use of the ironing spray has helped keep my clothes looking fresh and neat. Since the ironing spray is used by dry cleaners, I know I’m getting that professional look and quality that I’m wanting without the professional price.

If you’re like me and have dreaded ironing for any reason, my suggestion would be to give Faultless® Premium Ironing Spray a try. I think you’ll be surprised by how well it works and how much of a time saver it ends up being. The Faultless Ironing Spay may not be available in all areas, but the same company also makes Niagara and Magic Ironing Sprays. You can find them on faultless.com.

Back to School Shopping with My Sister’s Closet Boutique

This post is sponsored by My Sister’s Closet Boutique.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Back to School! Every kid’s least favorite phrase. As a parent, I think most of us teeter on the edge of excitement and dread when we think of sending the kiddos back to school in the Fall. It’s a reminder that summer is over, the kids are another year older, and that homework and school projects are now what will fill our nights.

I think we can agree that for mom’s and kids alike, Back to School shopping is a plus when heading back for another school year. The kids are excited because they get to fill their closets with new shoes, clothes, a backpack, and school supplies. Mom’s are excited because they can finally throw away those dingy t-shirts, and that pair of joggers that have had a hole in the knee since January. Plus, who knows, mom might just find a few things for herself.

If you have a teen daughter, and are looking for cute, trendy, and affordable clothes for Back to School, be sure and check out My Sister’s Closet Boutique.  They have locations in Draper and Spanish Fork for those local to Utah, and if not, that’s okay, you can shop their on-line store here: https://www.mysisterscloset-boutique.com/.

I was amazed when looking over their website at how many cute jumpers, tops, dresses, and jeans they have available. The perfect looks for sending those Jr. High, High School, and College students back to class in style. Not to mention, mom! We need to look our best on that first day of school when dropping off and picking up the kids!

One of my favorite pieces that is available at My Sister’s Closet Boutique, is the City Stroll Denim Jumpsuit. It’s so cute and comfortable and looks great to wear now with a pair of sandals, or in the fall with a scarf, booties, and even a cardigan. This piece is going to get tons of wear over the next few months.

A few of my other favorite items are the:

Wishing Thinking Overalls in Charcoal

Patchwork Perfection Dress (I seriously love this one for the First Day of School)

Python Pattern Jeans

Good Times Graphic Tee

Wildest Dreams Jeans

Jerra Floral Dress

Manhattan Distressed Jeans

Looking your best for class and/or school pick up is easy and affordable when shopping at My Sister’s Closet Boutique. You’ll be the envy of all the other students and moms, and who knows, you may just earn the Yearbook title of “Best Dressed.”

Best Long Lasting Lipsticks From the Drugstore

Everyone has that one thing they can’t leave their house without. Mine is lipstick. I just feel like my face looks super pale without lip color, and if I’m being honest, I feel a little naked without it. For me, lipstick is the thing that completes the look, ties everything together. After having to apply lipstick multiple times throughout the day, I began wondering, if maybe, there was a lipstick that would last the entire day. I had tried multiple brands and nothing seemed to work.

I had been using lip gloss and the lipstick that came in the roll up tubes, and I began thinking that maybe the liquid lipstick would be a better option. Because I like to change up my lip color, and wanted to try several liquid lipstick brands, I went to my local drugstore instead of a more expensive store like Sephora or Mac.

I found multiple liquid lipsticks (at Walmart) that claimed to last either, “all day,” or “24 hours.” I bought one of each brand and put each one to the test.

L’OREAL Paris Infallible 2-Step Lip Color: This lip color claims to last for 24 hours. The color options are good, and the box states: “Ultra HD color with high concentrated pigments and a color lock balm to protect and seal your color.” While I did like the color selections, I did not like the texture of the lip balm.  It seemed more “chapstick” like, instead of that glossy look I was aiming for. Grade: B-

RIMMEL Provocalips 16 Hour Kiss Proof Lip Color: This lip color, as stated in the name of the product, claims to last 16 hours. The lipstick also claims that it does not transfer when eating, drinking, or kissing. It also claims to keep your lips feeling moisturized all day. I did find that the color does indeed last for a longtime. However, I am not fond of the topcoat. I felt like it wore of quickly leaving my lips feeling less moisturized, and somewhat sticky.  Grade: A-

REVLON ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor: This brand has multiple color choices which I like. The lipstick goes on easily, but it’s the topcoat that I dislike…a lot! Instead of being more like a balm, this is more of a liquid. I feel like you have to apply a lot to get that glossy look, and it’s sticky and not long lasting.  Grade: C

NYX Lingerie: This lip color is only available in matte nude shades. There is no topcoat to apply which I did not like. I prefer more of a glossy look to a matte look.  I also noticed this lip color does not last for more than an hour or two at a time.  Grade: D

MAYBELLINE Super Stay 24 Color:  This lipstick comes in 34 shades and claims to last for up to 24 hours. The lipstick applies easily, and the topcoat is glossy and makes your lips feel moisturized.   I was really happy with this one. There is no transfer when eating or drinking, and the color may not last a full 24 hours, but it does last me throughout the day, however, at times when I wear this, later in the day I notice that it will start flaking off. Grade: A-

COVERGIRL Outlast All Day Lip Color: Again, this lipstick comes in multiple shades and unlike the other brands, this comes with a tube of lip color and a tube of topcoat. This lipstick claims to last 16 hours without transferring. I’ll be honest. This is my favorite of the bunch.  The lipstick is easy to apply, it’s long lasting, the topcoat is by far my favorite, and there is absolutely no flaking, wearing off, or dry lip feeling. Grade: A

All of the above lipsticks are under $10 and can be found at your local drugstore. Give them a try and let me know which one is your favorite. Is there another drugstore brand out there that you love that I didn’t try? Let me know, I’d love to try it out.
